Welcome to our story — one filled with love, adventure, and a shared passion for beautiful places.

It all began in February 1993, during a sunny ski holiday in Avoriaz, France. That’s where Pernille, a warm-hearted Danish woman, met Jeroen, a laid-back Dutch guy with a love for the good life. What started as a winter romance soon became a lifelong journey together.

Pernille, born in vibrant Copenhagen and raised near the peaceful Danish village of Everdrup, brought her Scandinavian charm and optimism to the Netherlands in 1997. Jeroen, born and raised in the cosy Dutch town of Son en Breugel, welcomed her with open arms.

By 1999, we had settled in Huizen, a town that quickly became home, especially after our two beautiful children joined the adventure.

Our love for nature and cosy spaces led us to buy our first holiday home in 2004 — a charming house in Everdrup, shared with family and full of treasured memories.

In 2020, our story continued in the beautiful Veluwe, where we bought several chalets with our kids. Inspired by our love of gin, each house was named after a favourite bottle and styled to reflect its spirit — elegant, relaxed, and full of personality.

At GinChalet, you’re not just booking a place to stay — you’re stepping into a home shaped by our family’s journey. Every house tells a story, and we’re excited to share it with you.

All our accommodations are for recreational use ONLY. Commuting is NOT allowed (partly) due to local rules. Furthermore, they are family homes and cannot be rented for (bachelor) parties and/or similar events.

General:

In connection with tourist tax, always report how many guests you have. I would rather not pay too much to the municipality. In connection with making beds and towels, it is of course also nice to know.

• Arrival between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM and departure no later than 10:00 AM!
• Our holiday homes are non-smoking !
• There is NO reception. Always call your host!
• It is always possible to order extra bed linen and towels during your stay
• Dogs are only welcome after consultation at the Damrak house

We are careful with our belongings. We also expect this from our guests.

The total price always includes:

• WIFI & TV
• Parking spot
• Beds are made when you arrive
• 1 set of basic towels (1 large (140*70) and 1 small (100*50) per person)
• Bath and kitchen linen package (bath mat, guest towel and 1 kitchen, 2 tea and 3 dish towels)
• Kitchen starter package (olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee pods or cups, tea, sugar/milk sticks, hand soap, dishwashing liquid and, if applicable, dishwasher tabs)
• Final cleaning
